Despite the Pandemic, on 26 June 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development managed to organise a reporting meeting of members of the Polish Club Farmer of the Year Association.
The meeting was combined with a seminar devoted to the discussion of current problems in agriculture. Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski – Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development opened the seminar and initiated the discussion. The discussion was attended by Grzegorz Pięta – Director General of the National Support Centre for Agriculture, Tomasz Nowakowski – President of the Agency for the Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture, Arkadiusz Szymoniuk – Deputy President of the Agency for the Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture. In the discussion, the farmers raised issues related to private land trading, extensions of lease contracts, and direct subsidies. Problems related to the implementation of active agricultural policy mechanisms on agricultural and food markets were also raised, including the so-called Agricultural Retail Trade (RHD). After the official part, the guests had an opportunity for further discussion and exchange of views over dinner.
